A paradise for water play and relaxation
The beach at Sandviken is the very heart of the campsite during the summer months. Here, crystal-clear mountain water meets a child-friendly shoreline, making it safe for the little ones to wade while the adults can relax on the grass or in the sand. Lake Tinnsjøen is known for its fresh water, and on good summer days the temperature can climb up to 20 degrees - perfect for a cooling break from the summer heat.
For those seeking speed and excitement, our water trampoline the big highlight. It's anchored just off the beach and invites you to spend hours jumping, playing and taking spectacular plunges. Here, new friendships are made across cabins and campsites, while laughter echoes across the water. Safety is important to us, so we would like to remind you that playing on the trampoline should always be supervised by an adult and that you should show consideration for each other.
The jetty - the campsite's focal point
Our stately jetty extends out into Tinnsjøen and serves as much more than just a place to moor boats. It's the ideal starting point for those who prefer to jump straight into deeper water, or for those who want to sit with their feet dangling over the edge as they watch the sun set behind the mountains. The jetty is also a popular starting point for our boat guests and those who hire a kayak or canoe to explore the hidden gems along the shore.
Practical information for bathers
- Safety: All swimming and use of the water trampoline is at your own risk. We recommend the use of a life jacket for children who are not able to swim, especially when playing in deeper water.
- Facilities: It's a short walk from the beach to our modern sanitary facilities and café, where you can buy ice cream, cold drinks or a snack between shots.
- Order: We really appreciate everyone's help in keeping the beach clean by using the rubbish bins, so that the next guest encounters a beach as nice as yours.
