By shopping locally, you contribute to a vibrant community in Tinn. From fresh baked goods in Austbygde to award-winning farm produce and unique niche shops, you'll find everything you need for a flavourful and fulfilling stay close by.
Groceries and Sunday open stores
During the summer months (June, July and August) it's easy to shop, as most of the shops in the area are open on Sundays between 10-18.
Kiwi Austbygd (1 km east): Our nearest shop. You can walk the idyllic «Øyan» path directly from the north-east corner of the campsite. Here you'll also find a petrol station, hairdresser and the popular Austbygde Bakery.
Spar Atrå (5 kilometres west): An extensive store with its own fresh produce counter, local produce, post office and an extensive hardware department with everything from tools to knitwear.
Gavlen Mountain Shop (20 kilometres north): Perfect for those travelling to or from the mountains. The store is self-service and open from 06-24 every day!
The world's best flavours from Tinn
We're incredibly proud of the food producers in our neighbourhood. When you shop here, you get world-class produce straight from the farmer:
Stordalen Farming: It produces what is described as the world's best brown cheese - a must-taste experience!
Eggerud and Midtgard Farm: Known for its fantastic honey, which carries with it the flavour of the pure nature of Austbygde.
Local food in stores: Look for local brands when you shop at Spar Atrå, which is good at highlighting food treasures from Tinn.
