A greener camping experience
Sandviken Camping is proud to be part of the Eco-Lighthouse programme. For us, this is more than just a diploma on the wall; it's a management tool that helps us take care of the nature we live off. We have committed to strict requirements for energy consumption, waste management, transport and the working environment. This means, among other things, that we prioritise environmentally friendly purchasing and work actively to phase out unnecessary use of plastic.
Over the years, we have implemented several measures that benefit both the environment and our guests. For example, we have eliminated the use of disposable barbecues throughout the site, and we offer local firewood from our own forest to reduce transport emissions. By choosing an Eco-Lighthouse business, you are contributing directly to more sustainable tourism in Telemark.

As part of our certification, we publish an annual climate and environmental report showing our goals and results. We are constantly working on improvements, and your input as a guest is very valuable to us.
