Stay in the Heart of the Course
Norseman Xtreme Triathlon is known as the world’s toughest triathlon, and Tinn is the stage for the grand finale. After a 3.8 km swim in the Hardangerfjord and 180 km across the mountain plateau, the athletes descend through Tessungdalen and turn right past us in Austbygde before the decisive marathon toward Gaustatoppen begins.
At Sandviken Camping, we feel the energy long before they arrive. We are often fully booked with support crews, families, and eager spectators wishing to experience the unique "Norseman spirit." Here, you can stand by the roadside and witness the sweat, determination, and tears up close as the athletes pass the campsite on their way to the notorious "Zombie Hill."

- Service: Our café is a popular gathering point for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat while waiting for the athletes to pass.
Book Early for 2026
The Norseman weekend is one of the busiest periods of the year. We recommend that everyone planning to be part of the excitement in 2026 books their cabin or campsite well in advance. This is a weekend where the entire Tinn community comes together to cheer on the incredible achievements of athletes from all over the world.
