A modern twist on the forest tour
Disc golf (or frisbee golf) has become incredibly popular in recent years, and we're delighted that there's now a great option in our local area. By Bakkhuslåven in Tessungdalen Fjellguten Skilag has set up its own course that is open to everyone. Here, traditional golf balls and clubs are replaced with specialised frisbees (discs), and the aim is to hit metal baskets with as few throws as possible.
The course is set in varied terrain that requires you to plan your throws around trees and natural obstacles. It's a great way to get your heart rate up while seeing more of the beautiful scenery up the valley. Since the course is run by the local sports club, there's an informal and friendly atmosphere that's just as suitable for beginners as for those who have played a lot before.
How to play
The principle is simple: Everyone starts from a defined throwing point and throws towards the basket. Where the frisbee lands, you make the next throw until the disc is safely in the basket's chains. The person who makes the fewest throws in the entire round is the winner!
- Equipment: For the time being, you have to bring your own discs to play on the pitch in Tessungdalen.
- Responsible: Fjellguten Skilag is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the course.
- Combination tips: Since the course is located in Tessungdalen, it is perfect to combine a round of disc golf with a visit to Shoulder wool or a trip to the mighty Lurefossen.
Find your way
