Skiing in our area is one of the most exotic things Norway has to offer. On Hardangervidda, you can spend a whole day walking in solitude through a landscape reminiscent of a living painting. You'll follow snowmobile tracks and well-marked trails in a terrain that many describe as the earth's way of showing how precious our nature is. This is the tour for those who are looking for a true «snow adventure» and want to experience the endless tranquillity of the plateau.
For those who prefer machine groomed ski tracks, the Tin trail an absolute favourite. The route between Atrå and Rjukan gives you the majestic Gaustatoppen as a backdrop almost all the way. A unique part of this trail is Myrefykjånvegen, which connects two routes. Walking here has been compared to «walking on the Great Wall of China» - a visual and physical skiing experience that simply has to be experienced.
Variety and well-being
In the opposite direction of the plateau you will find beautiful Skirvedalen. An extensive network of trails awaits you here in warm and beautiful mountain terrain. After a day out in the cold of winter, there's no better way to wind down than warmth and recovery. We recommend booking our sauna before you head out, so it's ready for you when you return. We also have a shared sauna in the grey sanitary building. It's the perfect way to defrost your body while you dream back to the day's ski tracks and sparkling snow.
