Operation Campsite - can you solve the case?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Sandviken Camping, you can step into the role of a real campsite detective. In collaboration with crime writer J\u00f8rn Lier Horst, Tidemands Teater and Voice of Norway, we've developed two engaging mysteries that require both a keen eye and good logic. You can choose between two different cases: Camping site thefts<\/strong> (inspired by the book of the same name) and The mystery of the market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project started as an exciting pilot project for historical walking, but quickly developed into a full-fledged detective trail when we saw how well the characters from Detective Agency No. 2 fitted into camping life. We were even lucky enough to have J\u00f8rn Lier Horst visit us in September 2022, where he talked about his books to local schools and kindergartens. Now it's your turn to carry on the legacy and ensure law and order at the campsite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to become a master detective<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To start your investigation, you'll need to stop by reception. Here you can buy the necessary activity booklet containing maps, extra puzzles and the secret entrance to the mystery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what you need to solve the case:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Fully charged mobile phone:<\/strong> You will use the app Voice of Norway<\/em> to hear clues and find points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The activity booklet:<\/strong> Available at reception - here you will find the secret QR code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Sharp gaze:<\/strong> Follow the map, scan the codes and find out who the thief is!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Reward:<\/strong> When the mystery is solved, you'll receive an official detective certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A memory for life:<\/strong> Don't forget to take a picture of yourselves as Tiril and Oliver in our customised picture frame!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    More than just a trail<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The detective trails at Sandviken are designed to give children a sense of achievement through practical problem solving and physical activity. As Birk, Nora and Tindra put it after their hunt: \u00abIt was really fun to go around and find the points on the map and solve the mysteries!\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The activity booklet also contains several small mysteries and puzzles that can be solved on the sofa in the cabin or in front of the fire in the evening. This is the perfect way to explore the hidden corners of the campsite while the whole family works together towards a common goal.
