Based in Sandviken, we have several local routes that follow quiet roads in a beautiful cultural landscape:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Austbygde round (11 km):<\/strong> A perfect family trip that offers great views of Tinnsj\u00f8en. Make a stop at Austbygde Bakery for fresh buns, and finish with a dip in one of the swimming pools in Austbygde\u00e5e.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00d8vrebygde and Lur\u00e5sgrund rounds (17-23 km):<\/strong> These routes take you a little higher up in the village. You'll feel the climb, but you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the fjord and the traditional farms of Tinn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the adventurous - long-distance routes and dresin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you're ready for a longer trip, we're proud to be part of <strong>Mountain route<\/strong>. This is a demanding but fantastic 124 km route that takes you over two beautiful mountain passes: Imingfjell and Vegglifjell. You'll cycle through fjord landscapes, pastoral valleys and visit historic stave churches along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dresin cycling - a unique journey on rails<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For a truly special experience, we recommend <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/skinnelangs.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dresin cycling<\/a><\/strong>. At Tinnsj\u00f8 Camping (Atr\u00e5) or in Veggli, you can hire a dresin and cycle on the disused tracks of the Rjukan Railway or Numedals Railway respectively. This is a flat and fun activity for the whole family where you can get close to industrial history and nature without having to worry about car traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SvingOm - your guide to the best roads<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We collaborate with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.svingom.no\/sykkelturer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SwingAbout<\/a><\/strong>, which has created a great overview of cycling routes in the heart of Eastern Norway. Here you can find GPX files and detailed information about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>National cycle route 5 (Numedalsruta):<\/strong> 165 km from Geilo to Kongsberg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sm\u00e5d\u00f8ldalen round:<\/strong> An idyllic mountain pasture valley perfect for mountain biking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blefjell Lodge to Juvefossen waterfall:<\/strong> A great hike with swimming opportunities at the top of the waterfall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical tips for cyclists at Sandviken:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Loading:<\/strong> We are cyclist-friendly and happy to help you charge your e-bike battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tools:<\/strong> Ask us at reception if you need to borrow simple tools for small adjustments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shuttle:<\/strong> On routes such as Numedalsruta, it is possible to take the bus (420 between
